The Kids & Teens Winter Recital is this Saturday a The Kids & Teens Winter Recital is this Saturday at @citywineryatl The show starts at 11:00AM and doors open at 10:30AM. Paid parking is available on site. Food and drinks will be served throughout the show. Tickets are $10 and are required for everyone except performers. They can be purchased on the City Winery website or at the door. The rough schedule is as follows: 11:00AM-12:00PM: Guitar, Ukulele, Violin 12:00PM-12:30PM: Voice, Trumpet 12:30PM-1:30PM: Piano 1:30PM-2:15PM: Teen Bands Can't wait to see our young Shedders on the big stage! #guitarshed #atlantamusicschool #winterrecital
We have a new Teen Band starting on Tuesday nights We have a new Teen Band starting on Tuesday nights! This group, led by Sean Thompson, will focus on alternative and indie rock. They will learn some of the iconic tunes from these genres and put an alt-rock twist on classics from other styles of music. We will be offering a few new camps in 2025 that l We will be offering a few new camps in 2025 that line up with Atlanta Public Schools breaks. Winter Camp - February 17-21 Spring Camp - April 7-11 These are half-day camps that will follow the same format as our summer Camp Woodshed. Campers will be grouped into bands, rehearse throughout the week, attend unique workshops given by professionals, and perform at the end of the week. The Bullfrogs are back 🐸 Rehearsals start tonig The Bullfrogs are back 🐸 Rehearsals start tonight for our Adult Americana Ensemble led by @mgodfrey218 We still have a few spots left in the group, so contact the front desk if you want to try out a rehearsal 🪕 Here’s a note about the group from Max… This year we’ve performed at Aisle 5, the Morningside Farmers Market, The Lost Druid, Waller's Coffee, EAV Strut, and Oakhurst Porchfest. The next potential show is in January at Aisle 5. The "Americana" genre is intentionally vague and open-ended so that we can do all kinds of music. Some of the artists we've covered are Molly Tuttle, Paper Wings, Zach Bryan, Boy Genius, the Wailin Jennys, Sturgill Simpson and Amy Rowland (yes, the Amy in the band!). I like to sneak in a couple of "trad" or "neo-trad" songs if folks are up for it too. #americana
